how to lose weight on lexapro
Hi, nmz! yes, both antidepressants and anti-psychotics can inhibit your metabolism making it difficult to lose weight and even causing weight gain in some people eating healthy and exercising will help, but only so much if it's a real problem for you and depending on why you're taking lexapro you might ask your doctor about switching to a more weight neutral antidepressants like wellbutrin. Hi i know there's plenty of talk about lexapro and weight gain. i was on 5mg a day for 6 months but i've gained 10 pounds. i stopped the medication 5 weeks ago and play tennis 5 times a week & watch what i eat, but the scale does not budge!. Lexapro drug interactions may also lead to weight loss. serotonin syndrome is caused when lexapro is taken with 5-hydroxtryptamine receptor agonist medicines, also known as triptans, that are prescribed to treat migraine headaches. the negative interactions between lexapro and triptans include vomiting and nausea, which may result in weight loss..
